Then taking these into Substance Alchemist would probably be a fairly solid workflow. If you are working with brick, there used to be a good brick/block generator software from one of the big masonry companies that would create high quality textures. ![]() They are looking pretty good considering Enscape completely ignores a number of maps ("Enscape does not currently support Revit’s procedurally generated textures such as Noise, Tile, Checker, etc. ![]() Do normal maps look fairly decent in Enscape or does it still have a very static look? Normal map support was a huge plus when they arrived in Artlantis! I really want to build a set of contemporary architecture materials for Enscape/Revit for our office (ironspot/dark bricks, metals, etc) as they don't seem to exist in most commercial packages! I'm curious how you're finding the substance->revit workflow. So it is important enscape support all the feature of substance. However if use in 3D studio and and rendering is done by another software the material are fare more advance. Substance has many advance features that cannot be exported into enscape or lumuion. If you are a pro in substance painter you would know lumuion is limited in using substances. Maybe we can hope for something at Autodesk University next week? Here is my first few tests in working on some wood patterns. Was hoping for something at Adobe Max, but no announcements. I've pushed the Allegorithmic guys on when we will get something more robust like a Substance plugin, but they won't divulge anything. The speed in which you can generate different versions of the same material is a big advantage over using something like Photoshop. So, it takes a lot of busy work if you are tweaking a material to re-export it every time. I'm don't think you would really call this "support" for Substance - it's merely using Substance to export back out bitmaps to put in the Revit material appearance template for "Base Material - Opaque" slots.
